Billy Joel was a big inspiration to me growing up as a pianist / songwriter… so it was really awesome to film Big Shot, a tribute band featuring Billy Joel’s long-time Sax Player, Mark Rivera, and guitarist, Tommy Byrnes. The band was top-notch and a pleasure to work with. They played other classic songs besides Joel tunes too, and we made this promo video featuring some of them.

RECENT WORK: Tusk Fleetwood Mac Tribute Live Shoot

Last month we headed out to Jim Thorpe, PA to shoot Tusk, The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac tribute band. We recorded the whole show and filmed a bunch of songs, and created this video montage for them. It was a lot of fun. We got to mess around with our new Glidecam and the Mauch Chunk Opera House was an awesome venue.

We had the great pleasure of giving Killing Horse Records a completely new web design. They are an independent record label out of NJ who have some killer bands on their roster. RECENT WORK: “Monster” Mitchell Grey Acoustic Video

On Dec 20, we recorded / shot an acoustic video for the song “Monster” by Mitchell Grey. We recorded a 5-song acoustic EP for the band, which they are using as a reward for their upcoming Kickstarter campaign. The full version of the song will be available on their upcoming debut album. Our good friend Jordan Taylor Wright came to us looking for a website to display his video portfolio. We built a site based off of one page (with extensions) to showcase his work. Jordan recently shot the music video for our band’s single, and we can vouch for his great work. The site includes large previews of his videos right from the home screen, as well as individual pages for each video, giving a few snapshots from each shoot.

RECENT WORK: “Steve Van Tine” New Recording

Recently we recorded a new track, ‘One Little Slip’ from Steve Van Tine, a singer/songwriter from Hillsdale, NJ. We found that while most of his earlier stuff was edgier due to full band electric instrumentation, we wanted to bring this track down to its folksy roots. We went with a fingerpicked sound, capturing Steve’s true, organic songwriting.

Recently we did artist headshots for Erica Tanner, a singer/songwriter out of Towaco, NJ. For her, we chose to go with a more intimate, warm atmosphere that parallels her songwriting. The shots are bright and colorful which parallel her style as a pop songwriter. We want you to know we’re all about catering to the artist, not just cookie cutter shots.

Recently we shot famed Dubstep artist ‘Rusko’ at Terminal 5 in NYC. It was a single photographer job and we use this example to show that we are not just about capturing the subject in a good light, but capturing the vibe and atmosphere in its most organic form. Especially in the case of a Dubstep-artists, it’s crucial to make sure the photos embrace the energy of the audience.
